I just took a deep breath, and enjoyed the smell of Spring in the air. Is this the best week of the year for sports? Final Four, [...] I’m sure there is a lot of high-fiving and chest bumping going on around ESPN and CBS Sports. Tiger Woods has officially announced that he will make his return to golf at The Masters. After some speculation and rumor that he would play at Arnie’s tournament at Bay Hill as a tune up for Augusta, Tiger [...] As we awake from our slumber that was this past weekend, the question posed is did anything of interest happen? You betcha!! Tiger Woods, State, Duke and even UNC are on this weeks list of topics. [...] I was content to let a sleeping Tiger lie (oops…I mean, continue to rest). His personal affairs (…damnit!) are none of our business. I wish Elin, the kids and Eldrick nothing but the best as they try to put their family back together. Further, I find the schadenfreude has devolved to unprecedented vulgarity. The inverse [...] And yes, I am triple checking the word “public” every time. So Tiger Woods appeared in front of family, friends, select media and a handful of hostages in his first appearance since the November car crash that exposed(no pun intended) the man with most pristine image in sports as…well…like any number of men in this world.
