We’re Back!!! Its Madness Month.

Okay maybe not officially but…

So, ACC basketball what has been going on this season??…The conference is down, it was supposed to be State’s year (that is what the coaches said), Roy is stubborn, finally caved and put Hairston in the starting lineup and the “small ball” seems to be working, Duke misses Ryan Kelly and Plumlee is on a milk carton somewhere, Miami has been the top team in the ACC all year but lost by 15 to Wake Forest.

Teams that are NCCA Tournament bound:  Miami, Duke, UNC, NC State and now after last night Virginia. Standings heading into the last 8 days of the regular season.

 Miami (FL) (5) 14-1 23-4
 Duke (3) 11-4 24-4
 North Carolina 10-5 20-8
 Virginia 10-5 20-8
 N.C. State 9-6 20-8
 Maryland 7-8 19-9
 Florida St. 7-8 15-13
 Georgia Tech 5-10 15-12
 Clemson 5-10 13-14
 Wake Forest 5-10 12-15
 Boston Coll. 4-11 12-16
 Virginia Tech 3-12 12-16

Add to the list: UVA students storm the court, Coach K is mad bro

Should have taken them off the court early like Roy. Or like he did at FSU a few years ago.

some say UVA is still on the bubble. Too many bad losses.

Great to see some fresh activity.

A thumbs up to NC State for saying no to the butt-ugly new line of Adidas uniforms. They actually made the Nike Elite line that UNC and Duke wore look good.

I have some sympathy for Coach K on the rushing the court issue. I was (unfortunately) in attendance at the FSU game that Nino mentioned. It was a good move to get the players off the court (a suggestion of Coach Hamilton). UNC, however, should have positioned the 5 reserves that were in the game at the corner of the court adjacent to the locker room for a quick exit (the game result was not in doubt). I am afraid that there will be an unfortunate incident somewhere unless the schools crack down on this. Some fan does something stupid, a player reacts and all hell breaks loose. I don’t pretend to know the best solution is but the status quo is not good. There is plenty of opportunity for a party/celebration without putting the players and coaches at risk.

The SEC will fine the school if the court is stormed or the field is rushed.

At NC State they will just roll you over.

Seriously though, like Tallahassee said, it is going to take some unfortunate incident like a student getting seriously hurt, a player getting in a fight, or Coach K stabbing somebody, for the rules to change.

“at least K didn’t leave his players behind…”
After last night, I wouldn’t have blamed him if he left some behind.

If you leave them behind, criticized.

If you dont and speak out about it, criticized.
