All I know is that all this stuff is clogging up my Twitter Feed today. I’m more of the type to take a look at it all after it shakes out and not be on the edge of my seat waiting for these kids to pick between two hats.
The usual suspects, Clemson/FSU/Miami, appear to be racking up prospects, though. Kudos to them, I guess.
FSU will once again be ranked Top 10 going into next year, falter a few times, be blamed for under-performing and not once will the inherent faulty nature of pre-season polls be mentioned.
I’m pretty happy with State’s class. You won’t see them at the top of anyone’s rankings, but TOB has brought in a lot of quality athletes the coaches can develop, and I think will be very good players a few years down the road. Hopefully we can avoid a ton of injuries, and are able to redshirt most of these guys.
TOB has a history of getting 3-4 star performance from 2 star recruits. I’ll take that with a caveat of hopefully we can get some 3-4 star recruits soon. Also, TOB’s results have come during seasons with consistent 30% injury attrition.
Recruiting is so hit and miss … must be the hardest thing for coaches. Some kids can’t handle school … some get drunk too much … some just don’t know how to work hard. So much promise this time of year. Although, you can see State getting better as TOB’s recruits mature.
Still, I’m not liking what Butch’s recruits might do under a more stable staff with a specific offensive plan. Screw ups aside, the man brought in talent.
Was thinking about making a post to summarize how the ACC fared yesterday, but anyone that’s interested should have been able to find out that info for themselves. Here’s Rivals rankings, though:
I think these rankings are close to worthless. Especially since they don’t really account for a teams ability to fill holes and manage player turnover on a 4-5 year cycle. I much more enjoy the ‘recruiting retrospective’ rankings that come out 4 years after a class. Those are always a better indicator of rankings than what you see on Signing Day.

^Wash, rinse, repeat.

I’m sure most Wolpfackers will take that if it continues to include whipping the girly men from Chapel Hill.
True enough.
