The number one team in the country Syracuse, improved its record to 20-0 with a win over ACC Big East rival Pittsburgh 71-63. The win was also number 876 for coach Jim Boeheim, tying him with Adolph Rupp of Kentucky for fourth place all-time in Division I. North Carolina’s Dean Smith is third with 879. Pitt dropped its seventh straight game and is now 0-6 in the conference, 11-9 overall.
One ACC game on tap tonight as Maryland travels to Florida State. There will be a head count after the game to make sure the Terps have all their players in the locker room.
Three ACC teams in the Top 25 this week: Duke at 4, UNC 8, and Virginia is 15.
