Capel will replace Buzz Peterson, who took the “Mountains to the Sea” Trail, following the money down U.S. 421 to UNC-Wilmington after one successful year back in [...] With the college basketball season a few weeks removed, it is time to turn our attention towards my favorite of the professional sports, baseball. The season is young, and many people have trouble getting into it this early. With the always increasing popularity of fantasy sports, however, more and more people are paying attention from [...] Is Duke hating a national phenomenon or mostly local? They won’t fix the playoff system everyone hates, are hell bent on screwing with the one everyone love and in between approve stupid rules to complicate games in general. The latest edict concocted by the geniuses in Indianapolis pertains to taunting on the football field. Starting in 2011, players taunting before they enter [...] I was watching “The Unit” on Spike TV today and around 7pm the programming switched from an outstanding show to reruns of UFC fights. I watched some of these watered down fights and it got me to thinking about today’s post. The product the UFC puts out today is streamlined, flashy, well produced, and slicker [...] Our last episode left a lingering bad taste in my mouth. Writing about Hooters is worse than watching the Wiggles. This week’s edition will, hopefully, wash that taste from my mouth. There are quite a few places that have sprung up around the Triangle that are all clones carefully transplanted from the mother plant that [...] … I’m going to Krispy Kreme. The "Hot Doughnuts Now" sign was on… Apparently Phil Mickleson and the kiddos hit an Augusta-area Krispy Kreme on Monday morning and Phil was appropriately attired in his newest green jacket. Nice.
